Inclusion Assistant

Village Montessori, a private inclusive Montessori nestled in the heart of Camana Bay catering to students ages 18 months to 12 years old, is seeking the following position: Inclusion Assistant

Minimum Qualifications:
– Associates level or above qualifications in early childhood education, disability or psychology
– Registered Behaviour Therapist Training
– Experience implementing inclusive strategies and positive behaviour support plans
– Experience working with children/youth with disabilities
The Inclusion Assistant will support the inclusion of children in a welcoming Montessori environment by assisting teaching teams in implementing strategies which support all children’s access and participation with the curriculum.
The Inclusion Assistant will be responsible, along with their colleagues, for implementing positive behaviour support plans and collecting data on progress.
The Inclusion Assistant must possess a commitment to inclusion, strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills, and be a dynamic team member. Previous experience in early childhood educational environments an asset.

Salary range for this position with the above qualifications is CI $34,000 to CI $40,000 per annum.
