We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Associate to manage the financial and accounting responsibilities for various investment companies. This role involves preparing financial statements, other financial reconciliations and investment performance reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
and regulations.

DO YOU HAVE:

• A CPA, CA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification
• At least 5 years of accounting experience, with 3 years specialising in the financial industry
• A strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and experience preparing full investment company financial statements
• An understanding of investment types portfolio analytics, and derivative products (Options, Futures, Swaps
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting/reporting software (Sage 100 and Bloomberg preferred
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
• Proven experience in identifying, recommending and implementing technological, system and process improvements
• The ability to establish and maintain collaborative, cooperative and productive working relationships both internal and external to the company
• A high level of self-motivation and goal orientation and are proactive in one’s own education and career progression

WE WANT YOU TO:

• Prepare financial statements including consolidated and audited financial statements, board reports, and compliance letters
• Research and interpret accounting policy and regulations
• Prepare and evaluate detailed financial, operational and investment performance reports, collating data from a variety of different databases and reporting platforms
• Evaluate existing accounting processes and identify and implement process and technological improvements that will increase efficiency and accuracy
• Analyze investment performance and compile financial data from multiple sources
• Assist with accounts payable , accounts reconciliation and fixed assets processes
• Assist with portfolio management software selection and upgrades
• Provide training and support to junior staff
• Provide other accounting and analytical support and assistance as assigned
