VICE PRESIDENT, BANKING OPERATIONS (Middle and Back Office)

A boutique Offshore Bank is seeking a candidate for its Middle and Back Office operations for the position of VICE PRESIDENT, BANKING OPERATIONS, who will be responsible for working alongside the Vice President of Banking (Front Office) in the overall operation of the Banking Department. The successful applicant must be able to perform the following roles:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review all transactions posted in the department’s software system.
• Develop and maintain relations with correspondents to ensure timely and accurate settlement of payments.
• Prepare and Review fees for existing and potential clients.
• Develop and implement operational efficiency in both software system and manual procedures.
• Review all Bank Confirmations requested by Clients.
• Assist with formulating business strategies with the Vice President of Banking (Front Office).
• Ensure that the staff in the department are working according to the schedule.
• Ensure completion of Monthly Bank account and Securities Reconciliations.
• Review all Quarterly Retrocession Reports for Banking eligible Introducers.
• Review and Sign-off on Monthly client statements.
• Review monthly and semi-annual Regulatory Reports.
• Assist with the annual financial audit process.
• Manage a team of seven (7).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), ACCA or CA designation.
• 8+ years’ experience in Banking and Financial Services.
• Successful completion of Series 6 or Canadian Securities course.
• At minimum 6 years’ experience at a supervisory or managerial level.
• Superior numeric, writing and communication skills.
• Understanding of private banking processes.
• Proven ability to work with others in a multi-faceted financial services institution.
